On June 18, 2018 WHTI-TV10 reported a structural fire at an abandoned coal building in Brazil, Indiana. According to firefighters at the scene, it was caused when a torch used by a demolition crew ignited residual coal dust. Because liquid oxygen was on site, the fire was allowed to burn out. No injuries were reported.
