On September 9, 2021, the Hickory Daily Record reported an explosion at a packaging products company in Hickory, North Carolina.
The Propst Fire Chief confirmed that one machine exploded in the plant, sending one employee to the hospital. Damage was confined to the machine itself.
The cause of the explosion is unknown. The Catawba County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the matter.
