Incident Description:
On March 5, 2023, Fire World reported a fire in a former stable building in Büddenstedt, Germany.
Shortly after midnight, a witness noticed flames coming from the roof of the unoccupied outbuilding.
When the first police and firefighters arrived, the roof structure of the former stables was already engulfed in flames. The rapid intervention of the volunteer fire brigade prevented the fire from spreading to the entire building.
According to initial investigations, a fire broke out in the area of a wood pellet heating system. According to the owner, the material damage to the building and the heating system will amount to at least 100,000 euros.
No injuries were reported. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
