Incident Description:
On November 24, 2021, Srugim reported an explosion at a frame production plant in Beit Shemesh, Israel.
The fire, which occurred at around 12:00 p.m., was caused by the explosion of a heavy electric tool. The police conducted preliminary operations to close the area and oversee evacuation as well as help emergency services respond to the scene.
There was a well-developed fire involving a lot of sawdust. Rescue and firefighting actions were immediately initiated to put out the fire and locate and rescue trapped people.
Rescue Union ambulance crews treated seven injured people in the factory yard.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical care and referred four people with burns to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. Two more lightly wounded individuals were treated independently.
