On October 18, 2022, Itatiaia reported a fire at a logging company in Salinas, Brazil.
According to reports from employees, the flames started in a pile of sawdust and eucalyptus and spread quickly, putting the company’s facilities at risk. Firefighters used about 60,000 litres of water to contain the flames.
In addition to the fire truck, the team had three water trucks, two buckets, a tractor, and a water truck from the Civil Defense of Salinas. The fire was brought under control with the help of the fire department, civil defense, and the company.
