On February 8, 2023, Oeste Mais reported a fire at a woodworking business in Santiago do Sul, Brazil.
When the fire department arrived shortly after 7:30 p.m. they found the fire confined to the place where the material was stored. They used nearly 3,000 litres of water to put it out and cool the contents of the silo.
The owner reported that the fire started from a spark inside the enclosure.
No injuries were reported.
