Incident Description:
On January 25, 2023, Citizen reported a fire at a piano manufacturing factory in Queens, New York.
Firefighters responded shortly before 9:00 a.m. They found fire in a sawdust silo behind the factory and used a hose to douse the flames at the top. They then opened the gates to the silo to allow the sawdust to fall down to the ground.
No injuries were reported.

An establishment search turned up one OSHA inspection for Steinway & Sons, but it was not flagged for combustible dust.
