On November 16, 2021, Gmais Noticias reported a silo fire at a biofuels company in Guarapuava, Brazil.
The Guarapuava Fire Department mobilized at 12:47 p.m. and sent two vehicles to control the flames. According to Correio Do Cidadão, sawdust in the silo caught fire. When firefighters arrived, two members of the company’s fire brigade were fighting the flames but the water reservoir had run out.
No injuries were reported. The silo’s dryer and metal cover were damaged.
