Company Description:

Incident Description:
On July 31, 2019, Powder & Bulk Solids reported several explosions and a fire at a pelleting plant in Centerview, Missouri.
Firefighters arrived shortly after 11:43 a.m. As they reached the scene, two additional explosions took place and fire spread inside the processing building and bagging system duct network.
Fire crews knocked down the flames and worked to extinguish smoldering materials within the ducts of the bagging system. According to the Daily Star-Journal, the interior and exterior ductwork is used to transport a fine hay material.
The Johnson County Fire Protection District Chief said that the cause of the fire has not been confirmed, but is thought to have started in a piece of processing equipment
No injuries were reported, but some machinery was damaged and the structure sustained some smoke and fire damage.
