Incident Description:
On November 11, 2019, the Daily Advocate reported a silo fire at a farm in Ansonia, Ohio.
When personnel from the Ansonia Fire Department and Ansonia Rescue arrived at around 7:08 p.m., they found smoke pouring from the silo. Over 3,500 bushels of corn had to be offloaded into semi-trucks. Firefighters also used a grain vac to remove a large portion of corn while they dealt with flare-ups.
No injuries were recorded. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ansonia Fire Department.
