Incident Description:
On July 25, 2021, MNPR News reported a fire at an agricultural cooperative in Clinton, Minnesota.
Firefighters from more than a half-dozen western Minnesota communities responded to the grain elevator fire, which forced 75 nearby residents to evacuate their homes. The nearby highway and some surrounding roads were closed.
Fire crews remained on the scene until late in the evening. By that point, the central part of the elevator structure had collapsed and water was being sprayed on adjacent large steel grain bins to keep them cool.
No injuries were reported.
