Incident Description:
On December 13, 2019, the Suffolk News Herald reported a grain bin fire at a farm in Suffolk, Virginia.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue crews responded soon after getting the call at 6:54 a.m. Heavy smoke and fire was visible between two 30- to 40-foot grain silos. After initial investigation, firefighters discovered that the grain bin dryer was on fire.
While it was initially difficult accessing the fire, crews were able to extinguish it without injury.
