Incident Description:
On February 21, 2019, Northeast Now reported a grain dryer fire at an agribusiness southwest of Melfort, Saskatchewan.
Fire crews arrived shortly after 10:30 a.m., but facility staff had responded quickly and were able to limit the damage. After the flames were extinguished with foam and water, the staff emptied the dryer to allow the contents to cool.
The dryer was not damaged and no injuries were reported.
