Incident Description:
On November 19, 2019, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a grain dryer fire at an agricultural services provider in Damascus, Ohio.
Fire crews responded after receiving a call at around 6:00 a.m. They had to use a platform ladder truck to access the top of the 56-ft grain drying tower and cut access holes for extinguishing the fire.
Company officials confirmed that the fire caused $50,000 in damages to the drying equipment and destroyed $5,600 worth of corn inside it. No injuries were reported.
