On July 8, 2022, Radio Alto Uruguay reported a grain dryer fire at an agricultural cooperative in Crissiumal, Brazil.
The Três Passos Fire Department was called around 6:00 a.m. to fight the fire. It was soon under control, but firefighters stated that the complete extinguishing of the flames was taking longer due to the large amount of material deposited in the dryer – in this case, soybeans – which continued to feed the fire.
No injuries were reported.
