Incident Description:
On October 10, 2020, KVOE reported a dryer fire at a pet nutrition plant in Emporia, Kansas.
Firefighters arrived shortly after 9:15 p.m. The Emporia Fire Battalion Chief said that there was no visible smoke or fire when they arrived, but there was when they got to a pet food dryer. They got the fire under control quickly.
Dog food was inside the dryer when the fire started. The amount of food lost and a damage estimate to the dryer were not confirmed.
No injuries were reported.
