Incident Description:
On April 9, 2019, WSAZ reported a fire at a lumber and flooring facility in South Shore, Kentucky.
Four fire departments responded to the incident, which started just before 1:30 p.m. 911 dispatchers said that the building used to store sawdust was on fire, and firefighters confirmed that the flames were inside the walls.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Previous Incidents:
On December 31, 2017, WSAZ reported a fire at the Graf Brothers Flooring facility in South Shore. A guard notified the owners at 9:45 p.m. that smoke was coming out of one of the buildings. When fire crews arrived, there was little they could do to save the 75,000 square foot building. It was still smoldering 12 hours after the fire started.
