Incident Description:
On October 8, 2021, KTIV reported a fire at a grain elevator in Albert City, Iowa.
According to the Albert City Fire Chief, firefighters initially had challenges putting out the fire because it was on conveyer belts on top of the grain elevator. Then the Storm Lake Fire Department arrived on the scene with their aerial ladder truck, and the fire was under control by 8:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
