Incident Description:
On May 6, 2023, KLTV reported a fire at a dairy products company in Winnsboro, Texas.
The Winnsboro Volunteer Fire Department responded at around 10:30 p.m. The fire, which was confined to a dust collection unit and exhaust fan, required the efforts of 12 apparatus and over 35 personnel.
The Mount Vernon Fire Department provided assistance, and Perryville, Ogburn, South Franklin, and Purley Fire Departments, along with Christus EMS and Winnsboro Police Department, also aided. Firefighters worked until almost 3:00 a.m. to extinguish the fire.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although two Perryville FD members required IV fluids due to overheating.
