On May 22, 2023, MyStateLine reported a fire at a machining plant in Rockford, Illinois.
At approximately 7:12 a.m., the Rockford Fire Department promptly responded to the incident. Firefighters swiftly arrived at the scene and discovered the dust collector, positioned outside the building, on fire. Upon investigation, it was determined that the fire originated from a spark that ignited the filter.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Damage was estimated at $3,000.
