On June 28, 2023, Central Illinois Proud reported a dust collector fire at a wood flooring company in Pekin, Illinois.
The Pekin Fire Department swiftly responded. The Fire Chief reported that multiple fire departments, including Timber Hollis, Green Valley, North Pekin, Tremont, and AMT, also joined in the response.
Firefighters actively provided additional water resources to combat the fire and a section of Manito Road was closed for safety reasons.
No injuries were reported.
