Incident Description:
On March 17, 2022, KWWL reported a fire at a grocery products plant in Waterloo, Iowa.
Fire crews responded to the scene around 1:30 a.m., and found the fire on a conveyor belt in an area of the plant used to store seeds. It was extinguished by 1:48 a.m.
According to the Fire Chief, there was considerable damage to the conveyor belt. He added that the sprinkler system managed to prevent an escalation of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
