Incident Description:
On October 6, 2022, Gazetadigital reported a fire in the basement of a feed manufacturing plant in Lucas do Rio Verde, Brazil.
The Military Fire Department responded. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters determined that the fire was under a conveyor belt that transferred grain underground. It generated a lot of smoke in the tunnel, causing visibility to be hindered and making breathing difficult.
The crew, equipped with respiratory protection equipment, accessed the fire site and extinguished the fire using dry chemical powder and carbon dioxide extinguishers.
No injuries were reported.
