Incident Description:
On September 29, 2021, BR 24 reported an explosion at a sugar beet processing plant in Ochsenfurt, Germany.
The explosion occurred at around 12:30 p.m. According to the police, a truck driver who came to load his truck with sugar had to be treated for a shock incurred during the explosion, which destroyed a conveyor belt and sent pieces of it flying throughout the area.
The plant fire brigade quickly got the dust explosion under control and production in the sugar factory is currently continuing.
