Incident Description:
On February 5, 2020, the Washington County Insider reported a grain dryer fire in a silo at a farmer’s cooperative in Addison, Wisconsin.
Firefighters and Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded shortly after 4:00 p.m. They emptied the grain bin during the firefighting efforts, which lasted approximately two hours.
The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation by the Allenton Fire Department.
No injuries were reported, although approximately $90,000 worth of soybeans were lost and approximate value for a replacement grain dryer is $100,000.
