Purchased in 2005, Fibrestick Mfg. switched from a manufacturer of bracing and packaging materials for the lumber industry to the region’s leader in MDF moulding manufacturing for commercial clients such as developers and contractors. The portfolio includes baseboards, casings, mouldings, door jambs, as well as solid, engineered and laminate hardwood flooring. All of these products are manufactured at the company’s 10,000 Sq Ft factory located in an industrial park in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario.
Description of Wood Dust Collector Fire:
On June 8, 2018, Sault Star reported a dust collector fire in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. No one was injured during the brief fire which occurred when the wood hopper’s dust collector caught fire and lasted roughly three hours. There’s been no report as to the amount of damage sustained by the Northern Ontario MDF moulding manufacturing company Fibrestick Manufacturing Ltd.
