At approximately 6:10 a.m., three fire engines from Bury St Edmunds were dispatched to a farm in Ingham. According to a spokesperson from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, the silo housed approximately 700 tons of rapeseed. They described the situation as “quite hot and smoking.”
Fire crews fought the flames using two pumps and a multistar aerial appliance. The farmer also provided assistance with equipment as needed.
