Incident Description:
On June 15, 2023, Folha reported a fire at a wood processing facility in Canela, Brazil.
The Canela Fire Department received a call at around 11:30 p.m. about a fire in a storage shed. Upon arrival at the scene, fire crews saw that the storage facility had suffered damage to its electrical network and a portion of the raw materials. Two fire trucks were deployed to fight the fire, using approximately 20,000 litres of water.
The Fire Department successfully rescued approximately 80% of the factory, ensuring that the structure remained intact. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
