Incident Description:
On May 20, 2023, Caco Da Rosa reported a fire at an agribusiness in Guarda Mor, Brazil.
Firefighters arrived at approximately 12:20 pm on May 19 and established two attack fronts: one beneath the dryer and the other atop the silo. They received assistance from the Lebon Régis and Fraiburgo fire departments, and Auto Pump
Tank trucks were refueled from nearby sources to provide the much-needed water. An estimated 45,000 liters of water were consumed in the effort to extinguish the fire. Following the containment, the area was cordoned off for further investigation to determine the fire’s cause.
Later in the evening at approximately 11:00 pm, the cooperative contacted the fire department again due to a reignition. Firefighters promptly responded, engaging in combat for over three hours and utilizing more than 10,000 liters of water to suppress the rekindled flames.
No injuries were reported.
