Incident Description:
On April 25, 2023, Feed & Grain reported a fire at a grain processing facility in Adair, Illinois.
Emergency departments responded twice to the scene. The first time, they extinguished a fire caused by a malfunctioning motor in the elevated conveyor belt system. However, they were called back at 3:00 a.m. to dismantle the conveyor system, which was 125 feet in the air, to reach the source of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
