On April 11, 2023, Portal Fatos e Notícias reported a fire at a grain facility in Paraíso do Tocantins, Brazil.
The fire is believed to have started in the silo and then spread to the warehouse boiler. Upon arrival, the firefighters found a group of workers who were trying to put it out but faced difficulties due to the lack of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Wearing firefighting gear, including breathable air cylinders and using hoses with adjustable nozzles and water trucks, the military firefighters successfully extinguished the fire in a three-hour operation. Following the firefighting, post-incident measures were taken to prevent any further outbreak.
