Incident Description:
On April 16, 2023, Tag 24 reported a fire at a malt production plant in Rostock, Germany.
At approximately 11:50 p.m., employees observed thick smoke coming out of the silo roof. Upon inspection, a smouldering fire was discovered in one of the silos, leading to an immediate call to the fire department.
Due to the high risk of explosion, a major alarm was triggered. The first responders arrived to find a large cloud of smoke drifting over the overseas port. After over an hour of intense efforts, they were able to control the flames.
No injuries were reported.
