Incident Description:
On February 17, 2023, Leouve reported a fire at a grain silo in Capela Monte Bérico, Brazil.
Firefighters were called to the incident by the owner at around 8:30 p.m. An inspection of the site revealed that the hives were on fire, and the fire was spreading to the silo’s bottom.
It took hours to get the fire under control. Although firefighters used 26,000 litres of water, much of the grain produced ended up being destroyed by the flames.
No injuries were reported.
