Incident Description:
On February 12, 2023, G1 Globo reported a fire at a grain warehouse in Sorriso, Brazil.
The fire allegedly started at around 12:40 p.m., after a problem occurred in the electrical part of the structure. According to firefighters who responded to the incident, the dryer and boiler were on fire when the team arrived at the scene.
After the site was cordoned off and power cut, firefighters used direct combat with two lines. Civil Defense water trucks and two military personnel who were off duty were also called in to help in the fight.
Approximately 30,000 liters of water were used to contain the flames.
No injuries were reported.
