Incident Description:
On February 13, 2023, Folha do Bico reported a fire at a grain processing plant in Estreito, Brazil.
A team from the 9th Battalion of the Fire Department responded and found that the fire was concentrated in the upper part of the drying silo, which was loaded with corn. They set up two lines of direct combat, one aimed at the upper part, taking advantage of gravity’s descent of water, and the other at the ground. By 7:30 a.m. the fire was extinguished.
No injuries were reported.
