The fire occurred on February 24, 2023 and closed the operation for the near future. Although the entire Park Falls Fire Department responded, the mill was still severely damaged.
No injuries were reported, but the fire had an impact on the region because of the number of logs and the number of suppliers that bring raw material to that mill.
