Incident Description:
On February 19, 2023, NDR reported a silo fire at an agribusiness in Bohmte, Germany.
An approximately 10,000 cubic-metre flat silo made of a straw-silage mixture caught fire in Bohmte (Osnabrück district). The Osnabrück police stated that the substance probably self-ignited.
The fire brigade was able to bring the fire under control so that neither the residents nor the adjacent buildings were at risk. The estimated amount of damage is around 50,000 euros.
No injuries were reported.
