On January 2, 2023, L’Avenir reported a fire at a carpentry shop in Ellezelles, Belgium.
At around 7:00 a.m. a passerby noticed smoke escaping from the site occupied by the carpentry and notified emergency personnel. Ronse and Wapi firefighters rushed to the scene and located the fire in a silo used to store wood chips. They quickly put it out.
According to reports, the company’s neighbours were asked to stay home due to the risk of asbestos fumes, but there were no injuries.
