Incident Description:
On November 4, 2022, Starved Rock Media reported a fire at an ethanol plant in Hennepin, Illinois.
The Hennepin Deputy Fire Chief said the fire was inside a dryer in a process building. Smoke and flames were not visible. About two hours after receiving the initial call for help at 9:00 a.m., crews cleared the scene.
Despite the fire scare, the ethanol plant continued to operate. No injuries were reported.
