On September 8, 2022, NB Noticias reported a fire at a furniture making company in Bento Gonçalves, Brazil.
The incident occurred at around 11:40 a.m. in a silo full of sawdust. As the material has its own heat source, the air entered the storage and generated its combustion.
The fire was quickly brought under control in the early afternoon. It took 10,000 litres of water for the firefighters and 10 more for the company to fight the fire. The streets near the company were blocked during the firefighting efforts.
No injuries were reported.
