Incident Description:
On May 9, 2022, Big Country News reported a fire inside a barley pellet processing plant in Palouse, Washington.
Whitman County Fire District 4 Volunteers from Palouse responded to a fire inside the plant around 1:00 p.m. Volunteers from Whitman County Fire District 12 and volunteers from the Potlatch and Moscow Fire Departments were called in to assist.
Firefighters found the fire in a shaker inside the barley pellet processing plant. Three workers were checked out for possible smoke inhalation.
No injuries were reported.
