Incident Description:
On February 12, 2022, AF Noticias reported a fire in a grain warehouse in Figueirópolis, Brazil.
Firefighters responded at 2:25 p.m. and completed their work at around 5:00 p.m. They were assisted by the company’s fire brigade, which had been using fire extinguishers before they arrived.
The military reported that the fire had spread to the furnace tower, requiring work to cool the structure so that the fire did not spread to the chambers, where a lot of product is stored.
According to the military, the warehouse also contained soy, which made it difficult to put out the fire. In the end, it was possible to reach the fire source and put it out using water jets from the top of the tower.
No injuries were reported.
