Incident Description:
On January 18, 2022, KICD reported a fire in a woodchip storage building at a grain facility in Aurelia, Iowa.
According to the Aurelia Fire Chief, firefighters were called to the site at around 1:15 p.m. after a report of a fire in woodchip pile within the structure. He said the exact cause of the fire is unknown, but it may have been caused by a piece of machinery used for loading woodchips into trucks.
No injuries were reported.
