Incident Description:
On January 12, 2022, WH3 reported a grain dryer fire at a facility in Caxambu do Sul, Brazil.
According to firefighters, teams were called around 3:10 a.m. and the flames were extinguished around 2:30 p.m.
They were unable to directly attack the burning grain because it was inside a grain dryer. Instead, firefighters utilized a hydraulic excavator to better access the site. 120,000 litres of water from two water trucks were used to combat the fire and handle the aftermath.
According to the fire department, one person was injured and referred for medical care before fire crews arrived on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
