Incident Description:
On January 7, 2022, ABC 13 reported a fire at an agricultural facility in Toledo, Ohio.
The fire started just before 9:00 a.m. Toledo Fire and Rescue crews saw smoke coming from a grain dryer’s vertical compartment. A company representative told firefighters there were approximately 3,500 bushels of grain in the compartment where the fire started.
When the compartment at the bottom of the dryer was evacuated, the fire was put out. Fire crews determined that the fire was accidentally sparked during the drying process.
The scene was cleared just after 10:00 a.m. No injuries were reported.
