Incident Description:
On November 8, 2021, Powder & Bulk Solids reported an explosion at a coal mine in Saran, Kazakhstan.
According to Kazakhstan’s Emergency Situations Ministry, 56 of the 64 workers who were inside the mine at the time of the blast were able to escape. Of the others, six were killed and two were injured. According to the ministry, the injured workers were in critical condition.
The accident was caused by a gas and coal explosion, according to the statement.
