On September 13, 2022, the Casper Star-Tribune reported a dust explosion and fire at a sawmill in Livingston, Montana.
The fire started at 6:00 a.m. and destroyed three connected buildings, machinery and stored lumber. The company’s planer building was burned to the ground and one employee was transported to the hospital with burn injuries.
The cause of the fire was an electrical spark and a dust explosion. The sawmill has suspended operations due to damage to the planer.
