On July 25, 2022, ABC10 reported a fire at a particle board manufacturer in Martell, California.
According to the Amador Fire Protection District, the fire broke out on the property and spread to nearby vegetation, but those spot fires were quickly contained.
There were 40-45 employees working at the time, and they were evacuated and accounted for. The mill itself was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
