Incident Description:
On June 23, 2022, Dryden Now reported a fire at a lumber processing plant in Kenora, Ontario.
At approximately 8:00 a.m., Kenora Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to the fire. Arriving firefighters saw smoke coming from the vent stack on the roof. According to the Deputy Fire Chief, a spark may have caused a dust collector or filters to catch fire.
Kenora Fire along with the company fire staff worked to suppress the fire. No injuries were reported and the fire was contained to the site of origin.
