Incident Description:
On February 27, 2023 La Nouvelle Union reported a sawmill fire in Daveluyville, Quebec.
The Régie des Chutes firefighters were alerted shortly before 2:00 p.m. This initial call reported smoke and apparent flames. On arrival, the firefighters noticed a general conflagration, so they tackled it immediately and soon had it under control.
As a result of the fire, the street outside the sawmill was closed for a while, forcing traffic to seek alternate routes.
No injuries were reported.
